Minister of Finance Makis Keravnos held a meeting on Tuesday with Ambassador of Jordan in Cyprus Basheer F. Zoubi with whom he discussed about the economy and developments in the region.
In statements after the meeting, Keravnos said they exchanged views on all issues concerning the two countries, including the developments in the region which affect the two countries.
The two countries, he said, share a friendship and very good relations, adding that at the meeting they exchanged views on further promoting cooperation in the fields of economy, tourism, investments.
“I hope that the relations will continue and our cooperation will become closer on all the issues that concern us,” he concluded.
In his statements, the Ambassador of Jordan said that the meeting is part “of our great relations between our two countries at the highest levels” and recalled President Christodoulides’ recent visit to Amman.
He noted that with the Minister they discussed about the economy, the developments in the area, the effec
t they have on both countries.
“We want to work together for a better future for everyone” he said, noting the friendly relations between the two states.
