The Police handed out fines of €3,500 in total and reported 30 shop owners and individuals for violations of the measures against further spread of COVID-19, a police spokesperson told CNA on Sunday.
During the last 24 hours the Police carried out 2,245 checks island-wide and booked nine shop owners and 21 individuals.
In Nicosia, the Police carried out 563 checks and booked three shop owners and 13 individuals.
