Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its latest forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, covering a period from midday December 13 to midday December 14, 2025. The forecast indicates that a weak low-pressure system is currently affecting the region, leading to mainly fine weather conditions with occasional local cloudiness.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1019 hPa. Visibility throughout the period is expected to remain good, and the sea surface temperature is noted to be 22°C. Importantly, no warnings have been issued for the forecast period.
The forecast details the expected wind and sea conditions across various coastal regions of Cyprus. On the West Coast, winds are predicted to vary from West to Northwest in the afternoon, shifting to Northeast to Southeast during the night and morning, with the sea state remaining smooth to slight. Similarly, the South Coast will experience Northwest to Northeast winds, occasionally shifting locally, with the sea condition also classified as smooth to slight.
For the East Coast, winds will be variable in the afternoon, transitioning to Northwest to Northeast by night, and continuing in the morning with a smooth to slight sea state. The North Coast will see variable winds in the afternoon, changing to Southeast to South at night, and remaining similar in the morning. Throughout all regions, the sea state is consistently predicted to remain smooth to slight.
