European stocks rebound to close Thursday with rally

European stocks rebounded from the previous day’s losses and rallied Thursday to close the session with gains. The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 3.51 points, or 0.78%, to finish at 455.27 after it lost 1.07% on Wednesday. The UK’s FTSE 100 added 44 points, or 0.59%, to end the session at 7,490. Germany’s DAX 30 jumped 189 points, or 1.21%, to 15,853. The exchanges plummeted 1.01% and 1.54%, respectively, during the previous day. France’s CAC 40, meanwhile, increased 38 points, or 0.55%, to close at 7,137 after it dove 1.54% on Wednesday. Italy’s FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 524 points, or 2.01%, to 26,575. The index plummeted 1.97% during the previous session. Spain’s IBEX 35 rose 117 points, or 1.3%, to end at 9,167 points as it gained back all of its losses from Wednesday’s 1.28% decline.
