ISTANBUL: European stock exchanges closed Monday with major gains. The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of European markets in 17 countries, was up 1.62 points, or 0.32%, to close at 513.04. The UK's FTSE 100 rose 2.64 points, or 0.03%, to finish at 8,166, while Germany's DAX gained 55 points, or 0.3%, to reach 18,290. France's CAC 40 increased 81 points, or 1.00%, to close the session at 7,561. Spain's IBEX 35 added 113 points, or 1.04%, to end the day at 11,057. Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 562 points, or 1.7%, to hit 33,716 by the closing bell. Source: Anadolu Agency
