European stock exchanges close with gains

European stock exchanges closed with gains on Wednesday. The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, was up 2.44 points, or 0.52%, to finish at 470.06. The UK's FTSE 100 rose 25 points, or 0.34%, to close at 7,515 and Germany's DAX 30 added 123 points, or 0.75%, to close at 16,656. France's CAC 40 increased 49 points, or 0.66%, to finish the session at almost 7,436. Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, rising 243 points, or 0.81%, to close at 30,326.
