Brussels: The European Parliament’s Committee on Fisheries convened this afternoon for a hearing with Costas Kadis, the Commissioner-designate for Fisheries and Oceans. The session, which took place at the European Parliament’s József Antall building in Brussels, was scheduled from 14.30 to 17.30 and was available for public viewing via webstream and EbS broadcast.
According to Cyprus News Agency, following the hearing, Carmen Crespo Díaz, chair of the Committee on Fisheries and a member of the European People’s Party (EPP) from Spain, is set to hold a press point to discuss the proceedings. Interested parties can watch this live on the European Parliament’s webstreaming services and on EbS.
Post-hearing, the chair and political group coordinators will convene at 18.30 to evaluate the performance and qualifications of Commissioner-designate Kadis. This evaluation will consider official documents detailing Kadis’ curriculum vitae, declaration of interests, and responses to written questions, alongside an EP
research briefing on his designated portfolio.
