Brussels: The European Commission has granted approval for the acquisition of sole control of Randstad Digital B.V. of the Netherlands, Randstad Digital France SAS of France, and Finxl Professional Services Pty Ltd of Australia, collectively known as 'Randstad Digital Solutions Business', by LTM UK and Ireland Limited ('LTM') of the UK.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the transaction focuses on the provision of IT and consulting services as well as HR services in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Australia. The Commission determined that the transaction would not pose competition concerns due to its limited impact on the markets where these entities operate. This conclusion was reached following an examination under the normal merger review procedure.
In another ruling, the European Commission has sanctioned the acquisition of joint control of MHBF Renewable Holdings Limited ('MHBF Renewables') of the UK by Brookfield Corporation ('Brookfield') of Canada and Mitsubishi HC Capital Inc. of Japan. Brookfield currently holds sole control of MHBF. The transaction pertains to the generation and wholesale of electricity from renewable resources.
The Commission evaluated this transaction under the simplified merger review process and concluded that it would not result in competition concerns, considering the companies' limited market influence resulting from the proposed deal. Further details regarding both transactions are accessible on the Commission's competition website under case numbers M.12507 and M.12504, respectively.
