EUC Hosts SUNRISE WP3 Plenary Meeting to Enhance Collaboration in Europe

Nicosia: European University Cyprus (EUC) recently hosted the SUNRISE WP3 Plenary Meeting from March 30 to April 1, 2026, gathering 30 participants from partner institutions across Europe. The event aimed to strengthen collaboration and shape the next phase of the SUNRISE project.

According to Cyprus News Agency, EUC, as a co-leader of Work Package 3 (WP3), played a central role in coordinating discussions and facilitating exchanges among participating institutions. The meeting concentrated on key priorities such as mobility initiatives, academic cooperation, employability pathways, and regional needs analysis, all designed to enhance the impact of the SUNRISE alliance.

Through interactive sessions, plenary discussions, and networking activities, partners engaged in dialogue, shared best practices, and identified new opportunities for joint action. The event also fostered stronger connections among institutions, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the SUNRISE network.

In addition to the formal program, the final day on April 1 included a social and cultural program, providing participants with the opportunity to explore Cyprus and further strengthen informal connections within the consortium.

Reflecting the project's vision of 'Empowering Regions, Inspiring Europe,' the WP3 Plenary Meeting highlighted the collective commitment of partner universities to innovation, inclusion, and sustainable regional development in higher education.
