Defence ministers meeting informally in Ljubljana, Slovenia from 1-2 September, will examine the recent developments in Afghanistan and discuss the Strategic Compass for security and EU defence.
The meeting will be attended by Cyprus Defence Minister Charalambos Petrides, the Ministry of Defence has said in a press release.
The document that is going to be drafted during Slovenia`s presidency of the Council of the EU will include policy recommendations on four areas (called “baskets”): crisis management, partnerships, capability development, and resilience.
