Nicosia: The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will take part in a video conference with members of the European Council on Tuesday to discuss the latest developments concerning Ukraine.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis announced in a written statement that this video conference has been convened to include the heads of state and government from European Union member states. The primary aim is to evaluate the outcomes of recent meetings held in Washington concerning the situation in Ukraine.
A statement from the Council specifies that the video conference is scheduled to commence at 14.00 Cyprus time. It was also noted by Costa that, “together with the US, the EU will continue working towards a lasting peace that safeguards Ukraine’s and Europe’s vital security interests.”
