EU Agri-Food Exports Surge in July 2025

Brussels: The latest agri-food trade report from the European Commission reveals a significant increase in EU agri-food exports in July 2025, reaching £20.7 billion.

According to Cyprus News Agency, this marks an 8% rise compared to the previous month, while maintaining a similar level to July 2024. The cumulative EU exports since January reached £139.4 billion, a 2% increase from the same period in 2024, primarily driven by higher prices. The UK continued to be the leading destination, accounting for 23% of these exports.

EU agri-food imports also witnessed a 5% month-on-month increase in July, totaling £16.1 billion, which is 10% higher than in July 2024. Since January, cumulative imports amounted to £113 billion, a 15% increase, largely due to high prices for certain imports such as cocoa and coffee. Imports from C´te d’Ivoire and Canada saw significant growth, whereas imports from Russia decreased by 70%, continuing a downward trend.
