Cyprus’ Energy Minister Natasa Pilides said on Friday that energy storage infrastructure was a fundamental prerequisite for the country to achieve its energy goals, stressing that Cyprus’ electricity system remains isolated from the rest of Europe.
Speaking during a hybrid conference on energy transition organized by the Cyprus Parliament, the Minister said that Cyprus was intensifying its efforts for energy transition while it’s in the process of drawing up the most ambitious national goals based on the targets set by the European regulation “Fit for 55”.
