Doha: Minister of Education, Sports, and Youth, Athena Michaelidou, will visit Qatar for an official engagement where she will meet her counterparts and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focusing on Youth and Sports.
According to Cyprus News Agency, during her visit, Michaelidou is scheduled to engage in bilateral discussions with Qatar’s Minister of Education and Higher Education, Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater, and the Minister of Sports and Youth, Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Thani. A key highlight of these meetings will be the signing of a bilateral MoU aimed at enhancing cooperation in the fields of Youth and Sports.
The Ministry’s press release also highlights that Michaelidou will engage with educational and research institutions, universities, and development finance bodies in Qatar. The aim of these interactions is to identify and explore potential avenues for collaboration in education, research, youth initiatives, and sports.
Michaelidou’s visit will conclude with her return to Cyprus on October 10.
