Nicosia: Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Klea Papaellinas, will address the high-level conference on Preventing and Combating Online Violence against Girls, which takes place in Nicosia on Tuesday, within the Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council, organized by the Ministry of Justice.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Deputy Minister will speak about internet risks for children and their welfare as a priority of the Cyprus Presidency. She will also mention the results of the EPSCO March 2026 Summit on children.
At the same time, Papaellinas will highlight the need for a coordinated and multidisciplinary approach emphasizing on early detection, accessible reporting mechanisms, and cooperation between competent bodies, with the "Children's House" model as a good practice for providing comprehensive and child-centered support.
