The Department of Meteorology issued on Saturday a rainfall warning of awareness level yellow.
The warning is valid from midnight until 1600 on Sunday.
It says that a combination of rain and isolated thunderstorms is expected to affect the area.
The phenomena are expected to be more intense during the first half of the period.
The total precipitation is likely to locally exceed the amount of 55 millimeters per 24 hours while hail is also likely, it adds.
