Brussels: Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas is set to participate in the EU Foreign Affairs Council in its defence configuration on Wednesday. He will also hold separate meetings with Kaja Kallas, the head of European diplomacy, and Andrius Kubilius, the European Commissioner for Defence and Space.
According to Cyprus News Agency, during the Council, Defence Ministers will discuss a scoping paper that outlines the key directions of the Defence Readiness Road Map 2030. This roadmap is scheduled to be officially presented at the October European Council. The discussions aim to define strategic priorities and actions necessary for enhancing European defence and EU strategic autonomy, as stated in a Defence Ministry press release issued on Tuesday.
