The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) participated in the World Investor Week 2024, organised by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) between 7 and 13 October, focusing its activities on risks to investors lurking online and on social media due to the activities of so-called ‘finfluencers.’, as well as on supporting parents and carers in their role in the financial education of children.
According to a statement, CySEC issued two comprehensive educational guides for these specific topics, containing valuable information, warnings, and suggestions for educational activities, which were positively evaluated by IOSCO and were posted on its website for WIW 2024.
