Cyprus Weather Update: Fine Conditions with Local Cloud and Dust Suspended

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, predicting mainly fine weather conditions over the next 24 hours. The area affected extends 8 kilometers seawards, with atmospheric pressure reported at 1024 hPa.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the region will experience weak high pressure, leading to generally fine weather. However, there may be instances of locally increased cloud cover and thin dust suspended in the atmosphere. Despite these conditions, visibility is expected to remain good, and the sea surface temperature is recorded at 19°C. Notably, there are no weather warnings in place for this period.

The forecast details wind patterns and the state of the sea for different coasts of Cyprus. On the west coast, winds will vary from west to northwest with Beaufort scale ratings between 3 and 4, leading to smooth to slight sea conditions. Similar wind conditions are predicted for the south coast, with winds transitioning from southwest to west. The east coast will see winds shifting from southwest to northwest, and on the north coast, winds will be mainly from the west to northwest. During the night and morning, winds will generally calm to a Beaufort rating of 3, maintaining smooth to slight sea conditions across all coasts.

In summary, Cyprus is set to experience predominantly fine weather conditions, with slight variations in wind patterns and sea states across its coastal regions.
