Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast predicting isolated showers across the west and north coastal regions of Cyprus during the period from 1200 on October 25, 2025, until 1200 on October 26, 2025. A weak low-pressure system is currently affecting the sea area extending 8 kilometers offshore, resulting in locally increased cloud coverage during the evening and continuing into the night and early morning.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast is 1015 hPa. Despite the weak low pressure, visibility is expected to remain good, only becoming moderate during showers. The sea surface temperature is recorded at 25°C, and no warnings have been issued for this period.
The wind conditions vary across different coastal regions. On the west coast, winds are expected to range from southwest to northwest, with speeds of 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, creating smooth to slight sea conditions. Similar conditions are forecasted for the south coast, with winds shifting from southwest to northwest and sea states remaining slight.
The east coast will experience winds from the south to southwest, with local variations reaching 4 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, which will keep the sea state smooth to slight. Meanwhile, the north coast will see winds fluctuating between southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 on the Beaufort scale, maintaining a smooth to slight sea state throughout the forecast period.
