Jakarta:The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, effective from midday on October 9, 2026, to midday on October 10, 2026. The forecast covers areas extending 8 kilometers seawards.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was 1018 hPa, with weak high pressure affecting the area. The weather is expected to be mainly fine, with occasional increases in cloud coverage. Visibility is reported to be good, and the sea surface temperature is 26°C. No weather warnings have been issued.
For the West Coast, the afternoon will see winds from the west to northwest at 4 Beaufort, locally rising to 4 to 5, with the sea state ranging from smooth to slight. At night, winds will shift to northwest to north at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and near the coast, they will gradually become north to northeast at 3 Beaufort, with the sea remaining smooth to slight. In the morning, winds will vary from northwest to northeast at 3 Beaufort, soon changing to southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort, with similar sea conditions.
On the South Coast, the afternoon winds will blow southwest to west at 3 to 4 Beaufort, locally reaching 4 Beaufort, with the sea state smooth to slight. At night, winds will be northwest to north at 3 Beaufort, sometimes locally reaching 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea will remain smooth to slight. Morning winds will shift from northwest to northeast at 3 Beaufort, gradually becoming southwest to west at 3 to 4 Beaufort, with the sea state continuing to be smooth to slight.
