Nicosia: Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, predicting predominantly fine weather for the period from 1800 on May 8, 2025, to 1800 on May 9, 2025. The area covered extends 8 kilometers seawards, and the forecast indicates that weak high pressure and a warm air mass are influencing the region.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the weather is expected to be mainly fine, though there will be periods of increased medium and high cloud coverage. Residents should be prepared for local mist in the eastern parts of the area around dawn. Despite these conditions, visibility is reported to be good, with the sea surface temperature at 19°C.
The atmospheric pressure at the time of issue was recorded at 1013 hPa (hectopascal), and there are no warnings presently in place for the area. Winds are measured on the Beaufort scale, and all times mentioned are local.
