Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, predicting mainly cloudy weather with local showers and isolated thunderstorms for the period from 0600 on May 3, 2025, until 0600 on May 4, 2025. The area covered by this forecast extends 8 kilometers seawards. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issue is recorded at 1010 hPa.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the region is currently under the influence of weak low pressure, which is contributing to the unsettled weather conditions. During thunderstorms, winds may become variable and strengthen, potentially affecting maritime activities. Visibility is expected to remain good but may reduce to moderate or poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is measured at 19°C, and no warnings have been issued for this period.
The Cyprus Department of Meteorology advises residents and maritime operators to remain informed about weather conditions, as the variability in wind patterns during thunderstorms can pose challenges. Despite the absence of severe weather warnings, precautionary measures are recommended to ensure safety at sea.
