Cyprus Stock Exchange Sees Decline Across Major Indices

Nicosia: The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) experienced a downturn in its major indices in today's trading session, with most sectors closing in the red.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the FTSE/CySE 20 Index recorded a value of 181.360, marking a decrease of 0.620% with a traded value of 187,559.850 euros. The Main Market Index also declined by 0.870%, closing at 245.080 with a traded value of 121,117.360 euros. The Investment Companies Market Index was not spared, dropping by 0.930% to settle at 2,993.730, with a traded value of 42,868.710 euros.

The CSE General Index similarly saw a decline, closing at 308.450, down by 0.630%, and reflecting a traded value of 187,673.220 euros. The Hotels Index faced the steepest decline among the indices, plummeting by 2.660% to 1,905.330, with a minimal traded value of 316.000 euros. However, the Alternative Market Index was the only index to show a positive movement, inching up by 0.100% to reach 2,057.140, with a traded value of 66,886.280 euros.
