Cyprus Stands Firmly Against Antisemitism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pledges

Nicosia: Cyprus stands firmly against antisemitism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday in a post on X, noting that to protect the future, we need to remember the past.

According to Cyprus News Agency, in its post to mark Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Foreign Ministry emphasized that ‘nothing can be allowed to stain the historical reality of the gravest of crimes’. The ministry underscored the importance of not allowing any distortion of historical facts pertaining to the Holocaust, emphasizing the need to honor the memory of the millions who perished.

The statement further highlighted a collective moral responsibility towards the victims and survivors of the Holocaust, as well as towards humanity at large. By recognizing the atrocities of the past, Cyprus aims to cultivate a society that stands against hate and prejudice.

The ministry concluded its message by reiterating the importance of remembrance as a means to safeguard the future, urging global unity in the fight against antisemitism and all forms of discrimination.
