Nicosia: Cyprus is experiencing high temperatures across its major cities, with Nicosia recording the highest temperature at 36°C, according to the latest weather data. The Department of Meteorology has released figures indicating significant variations in temperature and humidity across different regions of the island.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Nicosia (Athalassa) reported the highest temperature, reaching 36°C, with a minimum overnight temperature of 19°C. The humidity level in Nicosia stood at 35% at 1200 UTC. Meanwhile, other areas such as Larnaka Airport and Limassol (New Port) observed temperatures of 32°C and 31°C, respectively, with humidity levels reaching 55% and 65%.
In coastal regions, Pafos Airport recorded a high of 30°C, with a low of 22°C, and humidity peaking at 72%. Limassol’s Municipal Garden noted a slightly higher temperature at 32.3°C, with the lowest temperature at 21.6°C. Furthermore, Frenaros experienced a maximum of 32°C, paired with a low of 22°C, and a humidity level of 54%.
Prodromos, known for its cooler climate, showed a high of 27°C and a low of 18°C, recording a humidity level of 60%. Lastly, Polis Pafos saw temperatures rise to 33°C with a minimum of 21°C and a humidity reading of 53%. These figures highlight the diverse weather conditions across Cyprus as the island continues to experience warm temperatures.
