Cyprus Seas Brace for Weak Low Pressure System

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating that weak low pressure is currently affecting the region. The forecast, which spans from midday on April 26, 2026, to midday on April 27, 2026, predicts partly cloudy weather with a chance of isolated showers and a low risk of an isolated thunderstorm. Dust is also expected to be suspended in the atmosphere.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of issuing the forecast was recorded at 1012 hPa. Visibility in the area is generally good, though it may become moderate to poor during showers. The sea surface temperature is noted to be 19°C. No warnings have been issued for the period, suggesting that while conditions are not ideal, they are not expected to be hazardous.
