Cyprus Sea Weather Forecast Reveals Slight to Moderate Conditions

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area of Cyprus for September 20, 2025, covering a distance of 8 kilometers seawards. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1013 hPa, indicating seasonal low pressure affecting the area. The weather is expected to be mainly fine, with periods of locally increased cloud coverage.

According to Cyprus News Agency, visibility over the sea area is predicted to remain good, with sea surface temperatures steady at 28°C. There are no warnings issued for this period. The wind conditions and state of the sea vary across the different coasts of Cyprus.

On the West Coast, winds will shift throughout the day, starting from North to Northeast at night, becoming Northeast to East in the morning, and transitioning to Northwest to North in the afternoon. The state of the sea will range from slight to moderate offshore conditions.

The South Coast will experience Northwest to Northeast winds at night, wi
th a gradual shift to Northeast to East during the morning and a return to Northwest to Northeast by afternoon. Sea conditions will vary from smooth to slight, escalating to slight to moderate.

For the East Coast, the forecast indicates North to Northeast winds at night, intensifying slightly in the morning. The afternoon will see winds from Northwest to Northeast. The sea state is expected to be moderate, with some areas experiencing slight to moderate conditions.

On the North Coast, winds will vary from North to Northeast at night, becoming Northeast to East in the morning. By the afternoon, winds will shift to North to Northeast, gradually decreasing in intensity. The sea is anticipated to be slight to moderate, with calmer conditions near the coast.
