Cyprus Sea Weather Forecast Predicts Partly Cloudy Conditions and Moderate Winds

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, predicting partly cloudy weather with moderate winds and good visibility for the period from 1800 on December 15, 2025, to 1800 on December 16, 2025. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast's issuance was recorded at 1015 hPa, with no warnings issued for the area.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast details the expected conditions across various coasts of Cyprus. On the West Coast, winds will vary from northeast to northwest, with a Beaufort scale rating of 3 to 5. The sea state is expected to be slight to moderate, gradually becoming smoother near the coast by the afternoon.

For the South Coast, winds are expected to be north to northeast with a Beaufort rating of 4 to 5. The sea conditions will range from smooth to slight, with localized areas experiencing slight to moderate seas.

The East Coast will experience north to northeast winds, also rated at 4 to 5 on the Beaufort scale. The sea state is anticipated to be slight to moderate, with some areas experiencing more moderate conditions, particularly during the night.

On the North Coast, the forecast predicts northeast to east winds, with a Beaufort rating of 4 to 6. The sea will be slight to moderate, with some areas experiencing moderate conditions. By the afternoon, winds will decrease slightly to a Beaufort rating of 3 to 4, resulting in a slight sea state.

The sea surface temperature for the forecast period is expected to be around 22°C, and overall visibility is predicted to remain good throughout the period.
