Revenue from tourism in Cyprus was down by 92.3% on an annual basis this February, data released by the Cyprus Statistical Service, on Thursday, show.
In particular, on the basis of the results of the Passenger Survey carried out by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in February 2021 reached €3.8 mn compared to €49.5 mn in the corresponding month of the previous year, recording a decrease of 92.3%, as well as a decrease of 92.7% compared to February 2019 (€52.4 mn).
For the period of January – February 2021 revenue from tourism is estimated at €6.6 mn compared to €89.7 mn in the corresponding period of 2020, recording a decrease of 92.6% as well as a decrease of 92.8% compared to January-February 2019 (€92.0 mn).
