Cyprus recorded 3,714 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday with a positivity rate of 4.43%. No deaths were recorded.
According to the Health Ministry, 119 patients with COVID-19 are being treated in hospital, including 22 who are in a serious condition. Of the serious cases, six are in Intensive Care Units, with five of them intubated, while another 16 are being treated in high-dependency units. In total, 60.51% of patients with COVID-19 being treated in hospital are not vaccinated, the Ministry said.
On Wednesday, 83,857 tests were carried out – 3,630 PCR and 80,227 rapid tests – and 3,714 new cases were detected. The positivity rate is at 4.43%. So far, 363,792 cases have been recorded in the Republic of Cyprus. The number of deaths from COVID-19 so far, is 904.
