Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades reiterated on Sunday the government’s “deepest sorrow” over the loss of 48 Turkish Cypriots from the deadly earthquake in Turkey.
“We reiterate our deepest sorrow about the loss of 48 Turkish Cypriot compatriots, among them 24 children,” the President wrote on Twitter.
He expressed “our sincere condolences to the victims’ families but also to the Turkish Cypriot community for this tragic blow it has suffered.”
