Cyprus: Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides participated on Monday afternoon in a videoconference of the Coalition of the Willing, held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. Director of the Press Office of the President, Victoras Papadopoulos, stated that the teleconference was co-chaired by the British Prime Minister and the French President.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the Republic of Cyprus, having experienced an illegal invasion and ongoing military occupation, reaffirms its steadfast support for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. Papadopoulos emphasized that peace can only be attained based on the UN Charter, without any external imposition.
He further noted that Cyprus supports coordinated European efforts to adequately prepare Ukraine for the approaching winter.
