Cyprus President Attends EU Leaders’ Dinner and European Council in Brussels

Brussels: President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, is in Brussels to attend a series of significant meetings, including the EU-Egypt Summit dinner with Egypt’s President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and the European Council.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the President will address an event in anticipation of Cyprus assuming the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU, engaging with employees from Cyprus’ Permanent Representation in Brussels and Cypriots working in EU institutions.

On Thursday, President Christodoulides is scheduled to participate in the European People’s Party Summit and meet with like-minded EU leaders to discuss immigration issues. He will also take part in the European Council Escort’s activities.

Accompanying the President in Brussels are Minister of Foreign Affairs Constantinos Kombos, Government Spokesperson Konstantinos Letymbiotis, Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna, Director of the Press Office of the President Victoras Papadopoulos, Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President Nektarios Sotiriou, along with other officials. The President will return to Cyprus on Friday, October 24.
