Cyprus Meteorology Forecasts Calm Seas with Slight Winds


Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued its latest forecast for the sea area surrounding the island, predicting primarily fine weather conditions with some potential for increased low cloud coverage during the night and early morning hours.



According to Cyprus News Agency, atmospheric pressure at the time of the report was measured at 1008 hectopascals, indicating a seasonal low-pressure system affecting the area. Despite this, visibility is expected to remain good, and no weather warnings have been issued for the period from 1800 on June 29, 2026, until 1800 on June 30, 2026.



The forecast details wind patterns and sea conditions for different coastal areas around Cyprus. On the west coast, winds will shift from west to northwest at speeds of 3 to 4 Beaufort, with the sea state ranging from smooth to slight. The south coast will experience winds from the southwest to west, reaching up to 5 Beaufort locally in the afternoon. The east and north coasts will see similar conditions with smooth to slight seas and winds predominantly from the southwest to northwest.



Sea surface temperatures are recorded at 25°C, contributing to the generally stable maritime conditions expected throughout the forecast period.
