Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has released its latest forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, valid from 1800 hours on October 22, 2025, until 1800 hours on October 23, 2025. The forecast covers an area extending 8 kilometers seawards and reports weak low pressure affecting the region. The weather during this period is expected to be mainly fine with an increase in high cloud coverage in certain areas.
According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of issuing the forecast was recorded at 1016 hPa. The forecast details good visibility and a sea surface temperature of 25°C. No warnings have been issued for the period in question.
The forecast specifies wind conditions and the state of the sea for various coastal areas of Cyprus. On the West Coast, winds are expected to vary from northwest to northeast at night, shifting to east to southeast by morning, and then southwest to northwest by afternoon, maintaining a smooth to slight sea state. Similar wind patterns and sea conditions are expected on the South Coast, with a shift to southeast to southwest winds in the afternoon.
The East Coast will experience winds from the west to northwest at night, changing to northeast to southeast by morning, and finally to southeast to south in the afternoon, with the sea remaining smooth to slight. The North Coast will see winds initially from the southeast to southwest, shifting to northwest to northeast by morning, and finally to west to northwest by afternoon, with a consistent smooth to slight sea state throughout the forecast period.
