Nicosia:The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a weather forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus, covering a distance of 8 kilometers seawards. The forecast period is from 1800 on October 7, 2026, until 1800 on October 8, 2026.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the area will be affected by an unstable airmass, leading to partly cloudy conditions at times. Despite the clouds, visibility is expected to remain good, and no warnings have been issued for the period. The atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1017 hPa. The sea surface temperature is currently 26°C.

The forecast details for the various coasts include winds measured on the Beaufort scale. On the west coast, winds will shift from northwest to northeast at night to northwest in the afternoon, with sea conditions ranging from smooth to slight. Similar wind patterns and sea conditions are expected on the south, east, and north coasts, with minor variations in wind direction and strength throughout the day.
