Cyprus Foreign Minister Travels to Saudi Arabia for Munich Leaders Meeting

Brussels: Cyprus’ Foreign Minister, Constantinos Kombos, is travelling to Saudi Arabia to participate in the “Munich Leaders Meeting,” co-organized with the Munich Security Conference, from September 30 to October 2 in the city of AlUla.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the Foreign Ministry issued a press release stating that Kombos’ participation in the conference is taking place at the invitation of Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The conference is occurring at a crucial time with increasing challenges for the international community and rising tensions that undermine stability and threaten international peace and security.

During the conference, participants are expected to exchange views on significant issues and threats to regional and international security and stability. Special emphasis will be placed on exploring prospects for joint cooperation in key areas such as energy security and the stability of the global economy, the press release mentioned.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Cyprus Minister will engage with his counterparts and other officials, the statement concluded.
