New York:Foreign Affairs Minister Constantinos Kombos continued his series of diplomatic engagements in New York, participating in a meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution. This event was co-hosted by Saudi Arabia, the European External Action Service, and Norway on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Kombos emphasized Cyprus's support for the full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2803, opposing displacement and advocating for a stronger Palestinian Authority. He highlighted Cyprus's humanitarian contributions to Gaza, which include 3.5 million euros in aid since 2023, the delivery of over 37,500 tonnes of aid via the Amalthea corridor, and funding for the restoration of the Saint Porphyrius Church in Gaza.

Kombos also met with Ambassador Giampaolo Cantini of the Sovereign Order of Malta to discuss enhancing cooperation in healthcare and humanitarian assistance, particularly for vulnerable groups. They signed agreements to bolster these efforts, including continued cooperation through the Amalthea Maritime Corridor.

Further, Kombos met with Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi, congratulating him on his recent appointment and discussing the dynamic growth in bilateral relations between Cyprus and Kazakhstan. He expressed a commitment to strengthening these ties.

Additionally, Kombos had discussions with Kenya's Prime Cabinet Secretary Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, reviewing a productive year of bilateral engagement and expressing a commitment to deepen relations following the first round of political consultations in Nairobi.

Lastly, Kombos engaged in a candid dialogue with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Bayramov Jeyhun, covering several key current issues.
