Cyprus Foreign Minister and French Ambassador discuss issue of Ukraine, Cyprus problem and bilateral cooperation

Cyprus Foreign Minister, Ioannis Kasoulides, and French Ambassador to Cyprus Salina Grenet-Catalano, discussed on Friday about the invasion of Russia to Ukraine, the Cyprus problem and the bilateral cooperation between Cyprus and France.

Genet-Catalano said in a post on Twitter that during their meeting they had an in depth discussion for the EU resolve and unity facing the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the implementation of sanctions, ways to lift the deadlock in the Cyprus problem through CBMs and bilateral cooperation in various fields.

Cyprus has been divided since 1974, when Turkish troops invaded and occupied 37% of its territory.
