Cyprus Forecasts Isolated Thunderstorms Over Coastal Regions.

Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a detailed forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating weak low-pressure conditions affecting the region. As a result, isolated showers are likely tonight, with a gradual increase in isolated thunderstorms expected tomorrow. The meteorological forecast predicts local showers and isolated thunderstorms tomorrow night, particularly over the southern, southwestern, and eastern coastal areas. During these storms, winds may become variable, strong, and gusty, affecting visibility, which could range from good to moderate or poor in showers. Despite these weather conditions, there are no warnings issued for the period.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was 1017 hPa, with a sea surface temperature of 23°C. The forecast provides specific wind patterns and sea conditions for different coastal areas. For the west coast, winds will vary from Northwest to Northeast tonight, transitioning to Northeast
to Southeast in the morning, and Southeast to Southwest in the afternoon. The state of the sea is expected to remain smooth to slight throughout the period.

On the south coast, winds will shift from West to Northwest tonight to Southeast to Southwest in the morning, and South to Southwest in the afternoon. Similarly, the east coast will experience West to Northwest winds tonight, shifting to Southwest to West in the morning, and South to Southwest in the afternoon, with the sea remaining smooth to slight.

The north coast will see Southeast to Southwest winds tonight, transitioning to Southwest to Northwest in the morning, and Southwest to Northwest in the afternoon. The consistency in the state of the sea across all coasts, remaining smooth to slight, indicates relatively calm sea conditions despite the anticipated weather changes.
