Cyprus FM Congratulates New US Counterpart and Hails Bilateral Ties

Nicosia: Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos congratulated his new US counterpart Marco Rubio, hailed the bilateral ties, and noted that he is looking forward to working together to tackle various challenges.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Kombos posted on X, following Rubio’s confirmation by the Senate, that relations between the US and Cyprus have evolved into a strategic partnership and a critical component of strong shared interests in the Eastern Mediterranean.

“I look forward to working with you in tackling common challenges and in effectively fostering, together with our partners, more security, stability and prosperity in the regional context and beyond,” he said.
