Cyprus FM and Kallas Engage in Talks with Bahrain and Israel Counterparts on Regional Developments

Nicosia: Cyprus' Foreign Minister, Constantinos Kombos, and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, engaged in phone conversations with the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Israel. The discussions aimed at addressing regional developments and promoting stability.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the dialogue with Bahrain's Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, revolved around regional developments and the joint efforts by the EU and the Gulf Cooperation Council. The conversation focused on achieving stability and security through dialogue and diplomacy, as noted by Kombos on X.

In their conversation with Israel's Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, Kombos emphasized the importance of diplomacy in de-escalation efforts and the preservation of regional security and stability. The talks highlighted the ongoing commitment to maintaining peaceful relations in the region.

The College of Commissioners' visit to Cyprus coincided with the island's holding of the EU Presidency, marking a significant period for diplomatic engagements and regional cooperation efforts.
