Cyprus’ First Ambassador in Kazakhstan Presents Credentials

Astana: Cyprus’ first ambassador to Kazakhstan, Petros Nakouzis, was among the nine ambassadors who presented their credentials to the country’s President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in a special ceremony at the Presidential Palace last week. Nakouzis conveyed the warm greetings of the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, to President Tokayev, who reciprocated, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release said on Wednesday.

According to Cyprus News Agency, after the nine ambassadors presented their credentials, President Tokayev delivered a brief address, emphasizing that Kazakhstan follows a peace-loving foreign policy aimed at supporting peace and security both globally and regionally. He noted that his country is an active player on the international stage, regularly hosting significant events and meetings.

President Tokayev further emphasized that, as the largest economy in the region, Kazakhstan actively attracts investments from various countries and that its market is open for economic cooperation.
