Nicosia: Cyprus continues to support the civilian population and to be a humanitarian corridor for the international community, President Nikos Christodoulides said in a post on X on Tuesday, following the shipment of humanitarian aid for Gaza from Limassol port on Monday evening.
According to Cyprus News Agency, President Christodoulides highlighted the Republic of Cyprus’ initiative ‘Amalthea’ in his post, noting that a new shipment consisting of 1,200 tons of humanitarian aid had departed from the port of Limassol.
President Christodoulides reiterated Cyprus’s ongoing commitment to supporting the civilian population and maintaining its role as a critical humanitarian corridor for the international community during this challenging period.
