Cyprus has expressed its profound sadness over the fatalities caused by the fire in a Coptic church in Giza, as well as its condolences and solidarity with Egypt.
The Cypriot Foreign Ministry said in a post on its Twitter account: “Profoundly saddened by news of fatalities caused by a devastating fire in a Coptic church in Giza. Cyprus expresses condolences & solidarity to our close partner Egypt.”
Moreover, the Foreign Ministry expressed wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured, adding that “our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families.”
