Nicosia: Cyprus is witnessing a range of temperatures as reported by the Department of Meteorology, with notable variations across different regions of the island. The weather update highlights the highs and lows recorded from 8 PM the previous day until the time of reporting.
According to Cyprus News Agency, Nicosia (Athalassa) experienced a temperature high of 13°C, dropping to a low of 3°C, with a recorded humidity of 41% at 1200 UTC. Larnaka Airport registered a high of 17°C and a low of 4°C, with a similar humidity level of 43%. In Limassol, the New Port area saw temperatures ranging from a high of 16°C to a low of 4°C, while the Municipal Garden recorded a slightly lower high of 14.3°C and a low of 4.9°C.
Pafos Airport noted a high of 16°C and a low of 7°C, maintaining a humidity level of 42%. Frenaros experienced temperatures between 14°C and 5°C, with a higher humidity level of 45%. The mountainous region of Prodromos recorded the lowest temperatures with a high of just 1°C and a low dipping to -4°C, accompanied by a significant humidity level of 79%.
Meanwhile, Polis Pafos experienced milder conditions with a high of 15°C and a low of 11°C, alongside a humidity level of 48%. These figures indicate the broad spectrum of weather conditions across Cyprus as the winter season progresses.
