Nicosia: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area surrounding Cyprus for the period from noon on September 14, 2026, until noon on September 15, 2026. The forecast indicates that seasonal low pressure is currently affecting the region, resulting in mainly fine weather conditions.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1013hPa. The visibility over the sea is expected to remain good, with the sea surface temperature recorded at 29°C. The meteorological department has not issued any warnings for this period.

The forecast details specific wind patterns and sea conditions for different coasts of Cyprus. On the west coast, the afternoon will experience west to northwest winds at force 4, locally increasing to 5 to 6, with the sea remaining slight. At night, these winds will decrease to force 3 to 4, with a gradual change near the coast to northwest to north winds at force 3. By morning, southwest to west winds will prevail at force 3, gradually increasing to 3 to 4, while the sea remains slight.

On the south coast, afternoon winds will be from the southwest to west, ranging from force 4 to 5 and locally reaching 5 to 6, with the sea conditions characterized as slight. At night, the wind will shift to southwest to northwest at force 3 to 4, later reducing to force 3 near the coast. The sea will be slight, becoming smooth to slight near the coast. By morning, winds will transition from southeast to southwest at force 3, gradually changing to southwest to west at force 3 to 4, with the sea moving from smooth to slight.

The east coast will see afternoon winds from the south to southwest at force 3 to 4, locally reaching force 4, with smooth to slight sea conditions. At night, the southwest to northwest winds will hold steady at force 3, maintaining smooth to slight sea conditions. By morning, winds will be variable at force 3, gradually shifting to south to southwest, with the sea remaining smooth to slight.

On the north coast, afternoon winds will blow from the southwest to northwest at force 3 to 4, locally reaching 4 to 5, with slight sea conditions. Nighttime will bring southwest to west winds at force 3 to 4, locally near the coast south to southwest at force 3, with the sea remaining slight and locally smooth to slight near the coast.
