Cyprus Experiences Seasonal Low Pressure Affecting Sea Area

Larnaca: The Cyprus Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast for the sea area of Cyprus, indicating that the region is currently experiencing seasonal low pressure. This condition is expected to persist for a 24-hour period from 0600 hours on July 17, 2025, to 0600 hours on July 18, 2025, covering an area extending 8 kilometers seawards.

According to Cyprus News Agency, the forecast notes that there will be locally increased cloud coverage at times, with local mist and fog patches expected during the night and dawn hours. Despite the presence of seasonal low pressure, atmospheric pressure at the time of the forecast issuance was recorded at 1006 hPa.

Visibility is generally good but is expected to decrease to moderate or poor in misty conditions, and very poor in areas affected by fog. The sea surface temperature remains steady at 27°C, and no warnings have been issued for the forecast period.
