Cyprus Experiences High Temperatures as Mercury Soars Across the Island

Nicosia: Cyprus is experiencing a significant rise in temperatures today with various regions recording high numbers. The Department of Meteorology has released data indicating the weather conditions across the island, presenting a clear picture of the heatwave affecting the area.

According to Cyprus News Agency, Nicosia (Athalassa) reported the highest temperature, reaching 39°C, with a minimum of 27°C recorded overnight. Larnaka Airport also saw high temperatures, with a maximum of 38°C and a low of 24°C, accompanied by a humidity level of 63% at 1200 UTC.

Limassol experienced temperatures ranging from 22°C to 35°C, with humidity recorded at 52%. Meanwhile, Pafos Airport saw a high of 34°C and a low of 24°C, with humidity slightly higher at 57%. Frenaros reported a temperature range between 25°C and 37°C, with a humidity level at 31%.

In the cooler regions, Prodromos recorded a maximum temperature of 28°C and a minimum of 20°C, with humidity standing at 25%. Polis Pafos experienced temperatures ranging from 25°C to 38°C, with a humidity level of 35%, indicating relatively drier conditions compared to other localities.
